M45 (Plieades)

M45 - The Pleiades

The Pleiades, or M45, is one of the most beautiful open clusters to photograph. It is very close, and naked eye bright. Framing it in the view finder is no problem. It can be difficult, though, to get a really good photo that shows the large amount of nebulosity around the stars. I have been "snake-bit" in this respect, several times. This is my best effort to date. I will try again. LX-200 8in. F6.3, Kodak 400 PPf unhypered 120 format, 1hr., ST-4.
